How to deploy to an IIS web host

I’m using the free trial. I created a simple index.html page with a few text inputs. Now I want to deploy to my web server. I don’t use Docker, heroku, anything like that.
I cannot find anything in the docs re: which files to copy to the web server.
Hoping there is a simple button to ftp the files but cannot see anything except an ‘upload’ button and I don’t know what that is for or how to configure it.

Thanks for any help

Well just setup a new target in the project settings and enter your ftp details there.

Any documentation on how to accomplish this?

Just open the project settings and click on Targets:

Enter your ftp details and that’s all.

I set up a target–it’s not a simple thing but I got through it. I see the publish button, used it and it worked. However I would really like to see documentation on these processes. A lot is at stake and I need to understand all this completely. This is very expensive software so I’m expecting a lot out of the documentation. So far it doesn’t seem very thorough and any search I have done comes up empty. A little scary for the price being asked.

You can find the docs at https://docs.wappler.io/
Setting up an ftp connection Wappler Documentation - Setting up FTP Connection
as well as our youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/Wapplerio

Actually it’s not harder than copy-pasting your ftp details in the target settings  same as you do in any other ftp connection software.

The settings dialog I see differ from screen shots n the docs. Guessing the docs are out of date.
There were a couple of fields which stumped me-it’s not as easy as you indicate; I had nothing to copy/paste from in this instance. It is not the same as ftp software I have used.

It would be more helpful if the docs assumed everyone is a beginner and starting from scratch. That’s pretty much a basic rule for docs. As background, I write desktop software and also document both the code and the user manual. I understand it’s not simple to write user docs but again it should be assumed that the user is a beginner. I can understand docs being lacking if Wappler were free but at these prices there is no excuse.

I haven’t even begun to attempt using Wappler to access our existing web services written in .NET which are used by a desktop application which tracks millions of dollars in contracts, invoices, payments, etc., and features full-blown dashboards and data visualizations.

I’m not expecting Wappler can replace any of that–that’s not what I’m testing it for–I’m just seeing if it can be used for some simple data collection tasks. It appears it can, and I’m hopeful I’ll be able to work around the (so far) lacking docs.

I do appreciate your time and am not criticizing you at all. Hoping you & the community here will be able to get me to some answers quickly when needed. I only have 2 weeks before deciding whether to commit to this expensive software and don’t have the luxury of spending hours on the web searching for answers which I think should be readily available in the docs.
Thank you
