Git Hub: Passwords to soon no longer work?

I received this email this morning after pushing to GIT. Should I be worried?

Hi @BradLawryk,

You recently used a password to access the repository at BradLawryk/2019_Dashboard with git using git/2.0 (libgit2 0.28.0).

Basic authentication using a password to Git is deprecated and will soon no longer work. Visit https://github.blog/2020-12-15-token-authentication-requirements-for-git-operations/ for more information around suggested workarounds and removal dates.

Thanks,

The GitHub Team

We already support oauth2 authorization for github.

Wappler is officially registered app there and you login just with your browser.

So is there anything we have to change? Why would I get that email?

Hey Brad,

I received that email on an old project as well. If I recall correctly, I simply removed the remote connection from within Wappler, and then added it back in. The new Wappler process will trigger an oauth authorization that is good for all projects (if you so select.) I also removed my personal access token in wappler system options as well.

I’m not certain here, so as always, make sure you have a backup of your project folder.
