I am getting an endless “checking connection” message when I test my ftp connection. Credentials are correct and working on all my ftp clients. Is this possibly a firewall issue of something else?
I am in WIndows 10.

I don’t know for sure that this is your problem or not but I had that same issue recently. Try turning on ‘Use Active’ in your target settings. Or turn it off if it is already on.
Thanks so much for the reply but that did not work for me. I am wondering whether it might be a firewall issue being caused by McAfee.
It could be, try switching off any virus scanners first
