I wish forum administrators and Wappler team would allow for more promotion of this great monthly meet-up. It's a valuable resource.
Yet we see boosted posts form 7 or 8 years ago.
These meetup are a valuable resource to the Wappler community. Sorry I missed this one as I never hear about them in time because when the link gets posted and locked it is usually about 4:00am my time zone.
I will be sure to watch the video. I just feel this meet up idea could be and should be less restricted.
Hi Brad, totally agree - these meetups are a great resource for the Wappler community.
We actually only learned about this one around 2 hours before it started, after we saw the post in the community. If we’d known a few days or a week earlier, we would’ve included it in our newsletter that goes out to 25k subscribers.
More visibility in advance would definitely help more people join live and get value from it.
We have had some postponements in the last few months but generally they are always 4pm Netherlands time on the second Friday of the month. I have a repeat event in my calendar and if/when I see a post saying it’s changed date then I move the event for that month. I have an alarm on the event, too.
I highly recommend everyone does the same ![]()
Still an announcement topic should be posted by by the organization @mark1 at least a week before, preferably with the m schedule, so we can pin it and it can gain enough attention by the community and we can also include it in our newsletter.
I love these meetups, I rarely get the chance to attend in person as Fridays are my busiest day. I always catch up over the weekend though.
Wappler Team: This was a huge updated, there must've been a massive amount of work going on to get the Demo Projects HQ up and running, even though this is the first iteration, you guys knocked it out the park, it looks and behaves perfectly.
I agree with everything mentioned above, I just wanted to pitch in to let @sitestreet @ben and @Hyperbytes know your efforts to present this weeks edition were much appreciated, you all did a great job.
Additionally, @baub I’ve been running Classic ASP, PHP, NodeJS and .NET on the same windows server for decades with no issues - I went from Classic ASP to NodeJS with a lot less heartache than I thought it would be, I skipped the .NET as NodeJS offered more features, especially when paired with Wappler. Hit me up if I can help in any way.
