I'm excited to share with the community what Wappler and I have been up to for about a year now: https://fanfuser.com
FanFuser offers musical bands and artists a centralized repository of all their fan-generated content from every show. With a 4k camera in practically every pocket of every fan attending a live performance, I wanted to give the artists access to all of the video and pictures taken by fans. Initially, FanFuser was just a repository for artists to use fan-generated content for marketing, but it has more recently exploded into a live feed of videos taken by fans and shared through the platform.
For example: FanFuser | Fan Feed Optimized for the mobile phone, an artist's fan feed is an endless scrollable feed of every concert. Filter by event, like the video, search for other artists, upload your own content from the show, and visit the artist's FanLinks page.
Fanlinks: FanFuser | FanLink List. FanLinks is a link-in-bio feature that allows bands to provide the most important links for fans, including uploading their content, watching the fan feed, and more. Since FanFuser also gives each band its own QR code, the band only needs to display a single QR code at their events---the FanFuser QR code!
As I write this, I just finished moving roughly 150GB of fan-generated content off the application server and to DO's S3 compatible object storage. The fan feed grew so rapidly, it forced me to accelerate integrating object storage with the uploads, management of the content (logged in sessions), and retrieval (fan feed viewers).
I want to acknowledge the Wappler team for what they have built, and the answers to my questions when they were able to reply. I hope they can enjoy knowing FanFuser and some of the features I shared above, were all built using Wappler.
