Does anyone have a recommendation for a FREE downloadable program or online service for extracting images from PDF files and saving them as either JPG or PNG?
This is for a client who only needs to process a few files a month.

Or just open the PDF in Adobe Reader, right click on the image and copy to clipboard and paste into Photoshop or photopea.com or save it. I think you can even drag them onto the downloads folder but I’m not 100% sure.
To be honest Jon, if I didn’t have Adobe Acrobat then I would do it your way. Unfortunately we are talking about a client that needs the simplest of ‘press button A’ type instructions. The other problem is that these files have between 3 and 53 images so could be very time consuming.
How about this?
This is a list I have gathered so far.
Has anyone had any experience with these services and can any of them be recommended?

This seems to be the sort of things that may be useful, API based image extraction (never used them)
Ooh cheers Brian that looks interesting, didn’t think about an API type service. I’ll check that out tomorrow.
