Dummy question: AppConnect must be inserted on layout or content page? (node.js)

Just a dummy question because I m starting now with Node.JS.

I don’t understand where it is better to put Appconnect, because I put in both but then I get “App Already Running”. So where it is good to stay Appconnect?

I suppose content page but I would like to have a confirmation

When you create a content page based on the layout page (that contains App Connect), the content page will automatically inherit App Connect.
