Droplet creation hangs

Previously reported here:

Wappler Version : 7B23
Operating System : mac
Server Model: node
Database Type:
Hosting Type:

Expected behavior

I should be able to create a new server resource at Digital Ocean and have that process complete. It should install Docker if that is the image chosen.

Actual behavior

The droplet is created, however any further processing does not occur. The droplet is left without Docker installed and the resource is not listed in Wappler.

How to reproduce

Use the resource manager to create a new server:

Wait at least 5 minutes to complete.

I turned logging on, however I could not produce a log file as this modal does not let me choose the menu option to create the report.

I have tried with larger sized servers and no change. Also no change if not selecting Docker image, just standard Ubuntu.

Have you tried with a droplet with a bit more memory? I have found in the past that the lower memory ones don’t complete setup. May be nothing to do with it, though…

We had an issue where newly created Droplets were hanging but were showing in Digital Ocean. A quick refresh of the Resource Manager or a restart then resolved this. Just check you haven't spun up a load of redundant Containers on your DO Control Panel as you'll still get charged for them.

Yep, noted that in the ticket. I have tried 4GB mem which should be more than enough.

Yep, the droplet is created at DO, but hangs in Wappler and does not perform the docker install and necessary steps to add to the project, etc.

Ah ok. That should be enough and I’m pretty sure that level has worked for me consistently in the past.

found the problem, it will be fixed in the next beta
