Draggable Map Pin Stopped Working

Hi All,
Since moving over to 6.3.0 Beta I’ve noticed some of my maps aren’t working as they should, specifically those which include draggable maps. I see from the console that google.maps.Marker was deprecated in Feb 2024 but the notes say the maps should still work so I don’t think that is the issue. These maps were working prior to adopting Beta channel.

I’m also kind of convinced this is not a Wappler bug but maybe something up with files not synching between local/remote.

An example is this page, a draggable map pin should show which allows the user to select a location on the map and the lat/lon should be added to the text box below:

The above triggers this: Uncaught TypeError: e is undefined

Has anyone else seen this?

@patrick do you think this is a bug…? I’ve got a live site right now with services not working and a slow but steady stream of users feeding back, if its a bug I’ll revert back to AC1 until a fix is ready. If its not a bug, I’ll carry on trying to find our what the issue is.

I had to revert back to stable, there were too many issues for me. Mapping stopped working and all dropzones stopped working too, this effectively ruined the UX for my users.

Please report any issues separately and always test locally first of course before publishing to production.

Fix for the marker: dmxGoogleMaps.zip (28.5 KB)

Thanks for that. I won’t be able to try it as I’ve reverted back to AC1. I’m sure it’ll be great for anyone else with the same issue though.

Do note that if you don’t test well and report the issues you encounter, we won’t be able to solve them on time. Then when the final is released the beta channel will become stable and you no longer will be able to switch back. So again make sure you test well and report any issues before that.

I will do, however I have around 1500 pages in that project, many of them containing a lot of varying functionality so testing all of them is a big task. I’ll be waiting it out until I can’t use AC1 any longer.

Fixed in Wappler 6.3.1
