Does it make sense to try to run ERPNext / Frappe in Wappler?

Hi there fellow Wapplers,
Question from an experienced Bubbler, but oh-so-novice-Wappler:

ERP NEXT?
For a client with a factory I'm looking into using an ERP such as ERPNext, which is built on the Frappe framework. It seems much easier to use that, instead of creating the whole ERP myself.

So I've followed this guy's Youtube tutorial:

and created an instance of ERPNext on a DigitalOcean droplet. Works fine and looks like mighty deep ERP system!

ERPNext on Wappler, my first try
So I figured, wait a minute.... maybe it's possible to edit ERPNext with my new favorite low-code tool Wappler! So I loaded up a new project, copied over the git-rep and used docker-compose up to start the setup.

Now there are some things happening, but it doesn't really seem to run the whole setup and I definitely cannot acces my admin panel through a browser on localhost.

The true question
Does it even make sense to want to run ERPNext, or other Frappe based applications in Wappler? And if so, does anyone have any idea on how to get it running?

it’ll be really tough making ERPNext/Frappe work with Wappler.
It might be better to connect with ERPNext APIs for whatever additional stuff you might want to do via Wappler!

And if you’re feeling adventurous, just rebuild it on Wappler from scratch :slight_smile:

Expanding on ERPNext does seem like a valid option, indeed.
Having Wappler play nice with ERPNext would be awesome, though :sunglasses:

Something like that would be rather difficult!
It is a separate framework - kinda like AppConnect.

The core idea of Wappler is to be able to build web apps - playing well with other frameworks might not be even on the roadmap!
