Maybe the Docker nighty version installed by Scoop is broken. Uninstall the docker one with Scoop and install the last official manually from:
Hi George, if I uninstall Docker how do I reinstate my existing database connections, I don’t really understand what Docker does let alone how it does it!
Indeed if you complete remove docker - you might loose your local databases that you have created before. So if you really want to save your local data, you should backup it first.
But if it was all test only, all database connections will be reinitialized and setup correctly on successful deploy.
Ok George where would that local data reside…what specific files should I backup?
but did you ever got docker to work initially? If not there is really no data to backup
As mentioned I have had no problems with Docker until now, It installed and worked ok for months, then without any config changes the same install failed to run?? (I don’t understand how that can happen).
So yes I have data that is very important that I need recover after new install.
Well you should be able to get Docker started then, try system restart and google some of the error messages.
mmm I’m confused you have said I should backup data…I asked where is the data I need to backup?
Just to clarify I have not yet uninstalled the original Docker instance,.
Backup is next to deploy its the banner type icon (hover over it will say) not the power looking one right next to deploy
Well yes but in order to access and backup any databases docker must be running first.
??? big circle wouldn’t you agree …
Sorry wasn’t aware that you ran docker already successfully. So just go back to investigate why it doesn’t run.
Ok George thankyou, I will uninstall Docker and hope that I can reinitiate my DB connections this time I will ensure I back up regularly. To be honest In didn’t even realise that I could backup via wappler.
