Only valid options should be displayed when selecting the Filter property of a Data View element

This is actually by design.
Because you can pick for the filter expression also data variables from outside the data view.
Usually you will be combining and comparing those together with the ones from the data view, but both should be possible to pick.
Hence the full data view
But I get your point Ken - and you are right.
The filter expression will be primary constructed with fields from within the data view.
And then you can make them conditional with the formatters that already allow full data bindings pickers.
So will limit the filter choice in the next update
Ha. I deleted the post because I thought I was ignoring some option I could not have thought about like dynamically choosing that field. Always fun to be exposed to new uses.
