Digital Ocean - Managed Cloud Database not connecting

Wappler Version : 6.5.4
Operating System : MacOS Sonoma
Server Model: NodeJS
Database Type: PostgreSQL - Managed Cloud
Hosting Type: DO

Expected behavior

What do you think should happen?

It should create a database and let it create an additional cloud-managed database. As described in the tutorial here: Using Managed Databases with the Resource Manager

The connection parameters/details should not be wiped out on refresh.

I can't see the defaultdb as it is supposed to create defaultdb.

I have been trying this to over the weekend and yesterday, everytime it repeated the same outcome.

Actual behavior

What actually happens?

When I created the Managed Database following the process - the process gets completed, however, I can't create any database. I noticed that the connection parameters get wiped out on refresh.

DATABASE Cluster process completed:

Connection Parameters Wiped out.

How to reproduce

Just add a database cluster.

Did that happen after the creating of the database cluster in Resource manager in Wappler?

You can click on the database name and from its context menu choose “refresh” then the missing properties should be filled in.

Hi George,

As soon as the Database Cluster is created - I could not see the defaultdb and then I refreshed it - nothing after that. The connection details disappeared as well.

I am using DO server and its all working fine. Nothing happens after refresh. Restarted Wappler and Machine but it did not help.

@seriatim
Have you added your Droplet (or host) and your I.P itself to the Trusted Sources in your Database Settings area?

Yes tried that as well. Did not help.

Have you also added the path to your SSL certificate?

Although am not sure where to add this in the Resource Manager connections...

Yes just to test the DB, I tried adding the DB under the DB connections, and added the SSL and DB worked. However as you said, not sure where to add the SSL for the Resource Manager connections.

Despite using Wappler for a fair few moons I've never used the Resource Manager. As the connection worked under the DB connections it could well be the case that the input for the certificate needs to be added to continue with your connection? This will be something the Team will need to implement in an update I think..?

There was a bug in Resource manager about retrieving the connection abouts for Managed Databases.

It will be solved in the next update this Thursday.

Fixed in Wappler 6.5.5

Whilst the connection settings now persist after the 6.5.5 update, when the cloud database is selected for a remote target on DO droplet, the deploy and publish do not work. It keeps on showing "applying database changes" and then gives an error "project failed" database not connected.

Below is the error I received, not sure if this can help?

I suspect its something to do with the authentication - could it be that we are not using SSL certificate?

Also when I try to connect the Cloud Database for the local connection, it work and I can work with the database.
