Developing SaaS application with future mobile app release

Hi all.
I intend to write a web-browser based SaaS application using Wappler. In the future, once the app is released, I intend to develop a sister app for mobile.

Is it best to develop in this order?
I am currently assuming the mobile app will/can utilise the core SaaS app APIs. Is this correct?

Any guidance is greatly appreciate as I don’t want to start off on the wrong path and have to rewrite code later down the line. Many thanks in advance.

Yes, you are absolutely on the correct path. Build out a complete web app and once that is largely complete, tackle mobile.

The api’s from the first project will then be available for use by mobile.

I found that creating the blank page structure in mobile manually is best. Then you can copy/paste the front end components in from similar web pages. There will be plenty of editing, but it gives you a good starting place.

Could also go the following route. This is the great thing about Wappler, the options at your disposal…

  • Create your API Project (for your database connectivity on the back-end). Or use a previously created Project with API Actions.

  • Create your mobile Project (this method will use Bootstrap and NOT Framework 7).

  • Connect to your API Project as you require.

  • Build your Project using Wappler and Capacitor.

  • Simply FTP the contents of the WWW directory (within your Mobile Project) to your web host.

Two birds stoned with one joint. If you make changes to the mobile Project simply upload the contents of the WWW directory once again, rinse and repeat as necessary.

Evening all. Due to time pressures I’ve not been able to start the project I mentioned in my original post.
I’m not sure whether this is the right place to ask, but is there anyone in the community forums who works freelance? I am seeking an experienced developer who works fast and can prototype. I.e.: the scope of our app may evolve as the prototype is developed.

DM me if you are available ASAP to create our application for us.

Ideally you will be based in the UK.
If we decide to proceed after prototyping we will invest for a full production build.
