If i remove the DB connection step, and use the global DB connection, then running that query does not create any additional DB connections.

That’s an important observation and one that I think all users need to be mindful of as they work on existing projects that now have the global options. I’ll be going through my existing projects and making sure I remove any existing DB connections and utilizing the global DB.

Btw the issue is now resolved in Wappler 3.6.0

Connections are now reused nicely - even if the old way is used by having them as separate steps.
