Database Manager: Table Sorting

Argh! Is there a way to sort the tables alphabetically? Seems after you make a change to a table it re-orders them in some random order. According to release notes that is by creation date?

I have over 30+ tables (and always expanding) in one of my databases all strategically named with easy to find alphabetical system. Forced table sort messes that up and makes it very difficult to find the desired table.

This is a deal breaker for me unless there is a way to sort alphabetically.

There's a note in the release details:

Improved sorting of tables in the order of creation

I'm not quite sure what this means. I would hope it means you don't have to view tables in creation order. However, I think it's like viewing files in Wappler's file manager - it's limited and you'll need to leave Wappler for more options. While there are features I would like available in Wappler, I appreciate it can't do everything. I can't imagine not needing an external program to manage databases any more than I can imagine not needed to use a full features file manager.

Will put the tables list in alphabetical order in the next update.

We were more concerned by the columns order and that will be chronological

Agree with the sorting option, it is needed.

Maybe a good idea will be to also introduce an extra grouping for the tables as well?

So that you can also group them logically.

I have over 150 tables. Sorting by alphabetical order is a must for me. Why the decision to sort by table create date instead of alphabetical order?

There was no decision - it is Just how the database provides them.

As indicated above we will sort them alphabetically in the next update

Great, thanks.

Oh, if I had a nickel every time I started a sentence with that! Start with the defaults, and adjust from there. Congrats on another Thursday release, team.
