Database Manager Feedback - Wappler 2.9.1

  • Collapse Function
    This doesn’t do what I would find helpful. When working on the tables in a database, I don’t want to collapse back to only see the “Database Connections” icon… I want to collapse back to see an open “Tables” icon.

  • Location of Collapse Icons
    They are on the context menus but don’t work in context of what you clicked on… so would be better off on the top bar like for the Data Bindings.

  • Refresh Means You Lose Your Edits
    I did some edits and had 12 pending updates… but then pressed the refresh button by mistake and the edits were lost. There should be some kind of reminder you have the updates before you are allowed to refresh.

  • Refresh and Database Update Buttons too Close Together
    In light of the last comment, they should be in different parts of the top menu banner!

  • When I do “Apply Database Changes” it does a complete database refresh which takes 30 seconds. Not sure if this is unavoidable or not!

Just two comments:

This is not true. On refresh you get a popup reminding you that you are going to lose all your changes:

This has already been reported and will be improved in the next update. The database refresh will take less than a second.

Yes, I just tried it and that is what happened for me too... yet I know it didn't happen when I first tried it out.

Not to worry, if I find it happen again I'll try to find a pattern for you! :slight_smile:
