Database Connection Issue

I am trying to make a connection to my database but continue to run into this problem. I have verified my target is selected so I’m at a loss. This is a new Docker setup and database. Appreciate any help I can get. I am in the process of seeing if there is hope for me to use Wappler going forward or if the learning curve is too steep.

Thank you!

If you’re using Docker, you don’t need to enter the DB settings. Just click the folder button next to the name in the connection action - you should see ‘db’ as an option.

Thanks for the tip, when I click that it says “No items”.

Have you deployed the project? If so, what is in the project settings, target settings for the database?

Yes, I have deployed it and when I go to the target tab everything is filled in and when I test the connection it works as expected and connects.

Apologies if you have already checked this…

You should have something like this:

(I already had a manual connection which is why 2 are listed)
You don’t need to do anything in Connection Options, just use it

If it still doesn’t work, you can try setting the connection up manually (while the Wappler team assess the possibility of a bug) - use db as the Server Address and use the other db_user credentials from the Project Settings

Yes, I have exactly that on my first/test project. I simply wanted to start a new project for a clean start. Maybe I will try to start from the beginning again.

Did you try setting the connection options with ‘db’ as the Server Address?

I did and still no luck.

I just deleted the project and recreated it. It now connects to db.

Is this the normal process/setup?

Again, I appreciate your help with this noob.

I’m glad you’re connected. It’s not usual. The product, although not perfect, is very stable and reliable. I’m sure @george and the team will see the thread and have a look to see if there might be something that could be improved but it might be difficult as it is unusual.
