I want to try out the new Resource Manager in Beta 7. So I need a cloud hosting plan.

  • Does the free or hobby version of Heroku support databases?
  • I just want to use it for a very simple node.js test sandbox. Will there be any surprise costs?
  • Will the free version be enough for just a test and practice site with little to no traffic?
  • If I choose DO, do I have to use Docker?
  • Anything else I should be aware of?

Argh! The Resource Manager does not support Heroku! After I finally figured out how to deploy to Heroku.

Will Resource Manager eventually support Heroku?
How do you connect to the database hosted on Heroku?

Yes currently we support Digital Ocean and Hetzner as they have excellent API services and offer best integration and quickly deploy of brand new servers.

We will be adding other providers too.
