When you need to go on a partial from your layout for example, you need to switch to the Site Manager panel and find your file.
Instead, I propose to allow a shortcut somehow (double click for example):
I’m on my layout, I want to edit the partial named ‘header’, I double click on the partial component corresponding in the App Structure (top right side of the screen), then the view open to a new tab.
