Charts dynamic data not available

Problem description

I’m trying to insert a chart into a page, but after I insert the data source and attempt to enter the axis labels, Label x and Label y data pickers the next screen is blank. It occured before the 7.9.2 update

If I click on the Axis Label data picker I get this

The same applies to all of these boxes Label X, Label Y and datasets

Steps to reproduce

  1. Insert Chart on page

  2. Enter Data Source

  3. Select Axis Label Data Picker

  4. Next Screen is blank

The charts component is pretty poor to be honest. I recommend you try apex charts, lots of posts on forum covering integration, its very simple.

Thanks Brian , I was starting to suspect that. I'll give the integration a go

I wouldn’t say the charts are poor … they have pretty extensive functionality based on the feature rich ChartJs

Looking at all options, but as the data pickers are blank , I am having to hard code the axis labels, datasets etc. So on a learning curve at the moment

Sorry George but i gave up on that component as i had so many issues with it not displaying correctly.

We are not aware of any issues with the charts component, if you have any please post them as separate bug topic.
