Change esc key action

Is there any way to change the keyboard actions in Wappler? In every other program I use esc closes whatever modal window is open. In Wappler it minimizes the screen. This is not a conventional action for the esc key - https://www.dictionary.com/browse/escape-key. Thanks.

Hello,
Not sure what do you mean the esc key minimizes the screen - which screen exactly?
If you open any options/settings dialog in Wappler UI and hit esc, it closes this dialog.

If I’m working on a model in the builder and hit esc it resizes the screen. That also happens if I’m in insert options for a query or if there is no model open. In my mind esc should never resize the screen.

Can you make a small video showing what exactly do you mean (or at least a screenshot), and post it here, as I don’t really understand?

Well, you are using Wappler at fullscreen size, that’s why the esc key will always take you out of the fullscreen mode.
If you are using Wappler maximized, this won’t happen.

Aha! Thanks. I don’t think I even have that option on any of the other programs I use (Coffee Cup, Navicat, Filezilla, Chrome, MS Office etc) so I wasn’t really aware it was a thing. So out of curiosity, what’s the purpose of the full screen size? On my pc the “normal” size and full screen size are almost exactly the same size. It seems to just take away that small row at the top. I guess maybe it’s useful if you’re working on a really small screen?

Now the esc does nothing which is definitely better, but could they be set to close those modals when they’re open?

Well, fullscreen always does the same - just the same way as your browser can take the fullscreen i.e. you don’t see the windows taskbar and the small row on the top, same happens to Wappler window.

LOL! Literally did not know full screen was a thing in chrome. Had to Google to find it and it’s in the menu not up by the screen minimize, full size, close options so I guess that’s why I never noticed it before.
