While laughing a bit at Bubble’s latest mess I noticed I don’t have issues when quoting a sentence on iOS in their forum install however I am unable to quote anything here from my phone.
Maybe you are a few versions behind?

And maybe in the meantime upgrade the server of the forum as I suspect a lot of new traffic soon. The Bubble forum is down now

There is one heck of a workaround involving timing, double tapping and throwing a Hail Mary and even then it only works 25% of the times
Maybe it’s a feature, not a bug…keep Ken from posting when he’s not actually working. Can’t say I would blame them!

Ah well this seems to be the only bug we have …
We are a bit careful with updating discourse as one of the previous updates broke everything and we had to revert to the last backup. Happily we use a vps snapshot before we updated so we can just reverse to it.
So as long as the quote is the only bug, we are not in the hurry to update 
Soon we will be enlarging the whole server as the traffic and usage is growing rapidly, so then an upgrade will be needed.

Just a quick note how to bypass this bug:
Just select the text you want to quote and then click on the topic reply button instead of the floating quote button.
