I’d really value your feedback on this project.
Stitches is a custom-built social platform designed to foster meaningful conversations around health and medicine.
Built from the ground up, Stitches allows users to share text, images, and video while participating in focused discussions tied directly to specific health topics.
The goal was to build this as quickly as possible. As the sole designer and developer, I chose Wappler to streamline development. I built the app using PHP rather than Node.js, simply because I’m more fluent in PHP and wanted the option to drop into code if needed. In practice, I never had to work outside of Wappler’s built-in Server Actions. I did use some of my Javascript, but only in a few places.
What started as a proof of concept has since become a full production application.
I’m currently working on improved conversation threading, including replies directly within the main feed, which involves some more advanced SQL work. Threading should be significantly improved over the next couple of weeks.
All feedback is welcome.
