On opening the dropdown for the first time, the hover highlights are working.
If i select anything the dropdown closes
After that i open it again to change my selection, the hover stops working
What could be the issue?

Is that from a template or something? Doesn’t look like a Wappler Bootstrap menu item. Looks like lots of customization has been done to it.
Well … your dropdowns all have a href of href="#" so when you click on them, the URL becomes yoursite.com/page.html# and all become active as all of them point to this specific URL.

Thanks a lot that fixed it . there was a # in the link field by default
