It is really annoying to be working and have the app structure completely recoil when moving an element.

Maybe a regression issue? Whatever the reason, it is kinda ridiculous now. Can’t even add a class without it collapsing.
Much the same as UI elements I'd like the 'state' of the App Structure to be remembered with regards to how I left it. Drives me crazy in its current guise especially in pages that have a lot of layout elements. Totally agree with Ken.
Spent most of my time on this recent project just drilling down the tree every single time I made a change. Would be great to see it keep it’s state.
This also occurs on the server connect side, when creating APIS, folders get closed, it's really frustrating
This topic is about the client side, html structure - which collapses when root nodes are edited.
Server Side has its own state that is preserved so long as the file is open in the editor. If that is not the case or you wish any enhancements, please file a different topic @franse
The issue was solved in 7 beta 4, just tested and all seems to be good, server side and app connect..
I thought there was some relation between those two since both of them start collapsing now.. Will open a bug report later
