AI assistant functionally unusable since 7.1 update

As soon as I updated to 7.1, and forward, AI assistant requests (except Gemini) end within one or two interactions, and any results cannot be applied before a ‘400’ error shows. This was also about 7/1/25. Started failing when the 'ask/act' prompt appeared.

I have a low-end copilot paid account ($100/yr) and have been trying out all AI models without any issues for about 3 weeks. I used up the monthly account total in that time learning how to phrase questions, and successfully using it for a lot of style tweaks to pages, then added a small active budget to keep going in the last week of June.

I have tried all of the normal things: restarted, resinstalled, tried to return to 7.0 (won’t allow it).

(I have updated to 7.1.1 just now and no difference.)

Counter: up/196.9k down/169 - on one 5-word act statement, then 400 error. If that helps.

So you are using the github copilot? Which model do you have selected?

And what is your GitHub account requests status? You can click on the profile icon on the left of the model selector in the AI Manager to see it.

Maybe you just run out of requests. GitHub copilot seriously limited the number of requests per month, speciality for the low paid accounts.

Copilot requests (the green status bar) is at less than 56%.

All of that was used just this month between each model trying to diagnose the failure (except Gemeni which won't fail but is of less apparent help) plus I have a $25 cushion budget (currently at 0) to be used for premium requests, so it won't fail in the middle of a solution. I have a 12 month pre-paid Copilot Pro acccount.

All models are enabled on the same page (by default it seems) as the green requests progress bar.

Is there a way to revert to 7.0 just to check that out? I have the 7.0 download but it re-installs as 7.1.

Thanks for the report. We found the bug, seems like a last minute error in the AI Assistant for html pages. Will fix it with update tomorrow.

You can download previous versions from the you account page and then downloads - just change the version number in the download link.

Fixed in Wappler 7.1.2
