Add build 'release' to Mobile options and certificate path

Currently the default Build in Mobile is for Debug, would it be possible to change this to Release or add it, maybe a drop-down to select between Debug and Release?

Also would it be possible to point the Build to the certificate used for Publishing to the Android Store within the Project settings (maybe in Android settings for the Project)?

Sort of a double request of sorts…

Thank you for your votes!

I can’t remember exactly the process with Android but with iOS you have to do your production build in xCode. Nothing Wappler can do about that. That’s apple for you.

Seems to me I had to do the same with Android Studio for Android production builds?

But I voted for it because if there is a way to do it in Wappler I’d be all for that.

In the console just type cordova build android --release (in Windows) and that outputs for Release rather than Debug so shouldn’t be too difficult to add. I’m just a lazy bar-steward hahaha…

That would be cool if they can do it with Android at least. Apple needs to be built and submitted to the store through xCode. So not holding on to too much hope for that one.

Hope the guys are getting well drunk on their team building week! Getting their heads around all this (mobile side) will require alcohol sponsorship, or a seed shop, depending on preferences of course!

I would love to see mobile apps get more love in version 4 over the next year. Let’s hope! :beers:
