7 days trial is too short to evaluate

I cannot evaluate in 7 days because I would use it only a few minutes per day. 1 month would be better.

So after 7 days I will just quit undecided.

Just pay for one month while you evaluate. A small investment in your future.

It is not a trial to learn the tool, but a trial to decide if it’s something that appeals to you or not.

I had exactly the same concern as you have. And here I am…rocking like a hurricane.

I bought into it before it was even available. I saw the potential and wanted it.

There are many other platforms I want to evaluate first which are free to do so.
As I said my time is very fragmented I won’t pay 1 month for maybe using it just 30min to 1hour per day.

So I’ll probably do it once I’m more sure I can commit time

I too went through many different low and no-code tools (Caspio, Bubble, Mendix, Kissflow, Radzen, Servoy) to try them out and see what would suit my needs.

If you tell us a bit about what it is you are wanting out of Wappler, some of us might be able to help you decide if its right for you.

Me personally, i’m using Wappler to build a sophisticated web app that will be the foundation of SaaS business i’m in the processes of starting up.

Feel free to PM me if you want to know more about why i chose Wappler and why many others just weren’t right for me.

My trial is over since yesterday.

I never saw a tool like Wappler that makes it so damn easy and has a good and fast answering community.

I will go to pro today - dont have to thing about it twice

Thanks for making it!

Over the last decade or so I reckon i have tried at least 2 different applications each year to make web development easier while at the same time not making code that looks like a child wrote it.

Dreamweaver with DMXZone extensions came about the closest however there were many things in Dreamweaver I just did not like, so I basically used to use dreamweaver with a blank page to add whatever DMXZone extension I wanted, then used to copy the created code out to my trusty old text editor, and would not need to open Dreamweaver for a few more days, while i manually coded everything else in the text editor.

Since Wappler, there is just no need for anything else, not much need to evaluate, honestly, you will not find better. Unless you goal is to create a simple blog which WordPress could do in about 5 minutes flat, anything with complexity or required customisation, this is it.

I started with Drumbeat (anyone remember that?) It was taken over by Macromedia and so Dreamweaver Ultradev was born followed by MX, and it was ASP only. Then someone added PHP support to it, can’t remember who, and that opened up a whole new world. I used Dreamweaver for many, many years with Interakt, DMX and Webassist extensions. But Wappler has taken all this on by a staggering amount and really does make development a pleasure. When I first saw it announced on Indiegogo I knew this could be big so I pledged. It was a good few months before it reached the point of proper usability - I think it was the Security Enforcer which turned it into a real solution - and I’ve not looked back. And the weekly releases containing way more than just bug fixes is a delight and something I genuinely look forward to every Thursday.

So, anyone who’s still trying to decide, immerse yourself in the 7-day trial and then just buy it. And no, I’m not affiliated or on any kind of commission!

I built a gamer search engine with Drumbeat to help find patches for games like Counter-Strike (early betas) years before Google! Was super successful and ended up being sponsored by Elsa (remember them!) and Barrysworld (game server provider, remember them too!). Good times!

I thought exactly the same, 7 days was way too short. I started off in the mid 90s with HotDog (made by Sausage Software): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HotDog (anyone else remember it?).

As others have said above, I got into DMX extenstions / Dreamweaver making complex ASP based dynamic websites - it had its flaws but it worked pretty well. I didn’t want to upgrade to the latest online version of DW as I thought it was a rip off and under developed.

I found out about wappler and came in around the version 2.0.0 mark. Tried the way too short 7 day trial and I’ve been here ever since. It’s a great product, very very well supported and I look forward to Thursdays when we get our updates - I’ve never dealt with software makers with the same level of commitment.

I have no affiliation with the company, I’m just yet another satisfied user - hopefully you will be too some day!

Could there be any way to learn Wappler without subscribing?

I signed up for a few months last year and started to build a mock site for practice but had to stop. Since then the software matured a lot and i want to learn it to be able to offer it to clients, but can’t afford.

Any chance to have a local version only with ftp disabled or some how to restrict it so we can test and learn it without being able to produce a live site? just thought to ask.

thanks

Welcome

I’m glad for you that you found Wappler. If you continue to study it, believe me, you will not be disappointed.

For free, you can study all the documentation on Wappler, which is quite a lot, as well as read useful posts on the forum. As for the limitations of Wappler, there is no way to restrict Wappler in any way so that you can only learn It without creating software. This is his incredible strength. As soon as you start to learn it in practice, literally immediately you will be able to do something interesting and workable. Wappler is like a hammer. You can’t restrict the hammer so that it doesn’t hammer nails. At the same time, all created apps and programs will always be yours, even if you stop subscribing. All the code you create with Wappler will be your code.

Over the price. I understand that everyone has different financial opportunities. But treat it as an investment in yourself and your future. They have special cheaper rates for training.

If you are really interested in creating functional, high-tech IT products, then Wappler is the best option for investing your money and time. This will pay off many times in the future.
