5.0.0 Beta 3 browser still showing 'processing' after successful login

I tried both ways to login. Mac Intel. (Not sure I feel about the browser login procedure).

Anyways, it seems to get stuck on processing …

Also once logged in the user avatar is not showing. Is this a change in this version?

So do you do anything in the browser? Did you select to login with community or via code sent to the email?

I tried both ways to see the difference. Personally I find this new login very confusing. But I'll get used to it.

So what do you mean then it’s stuck on processing?
It shows processing while it’s waiting for you to select a login method and log in, then this window automatically closes.

Also both methods are easier and faster than before. One of them provides a passwordless login and the other just uses the profile you are logged in into the community.
You no longer need to enter your password in a login dialog in Wappler.

It doesn’t seem to close. It just stays as processing indefinitely. So being stuck on processing and the user avatar not showing up it was confusing to if I was actually logged in or not.

So your bug report is that the login dialog in Wappler never closes, even after you log in successfully in the browser? And even though it shows you are logged in then?

Yes, perhaps the browser tab should close as well? That is where it still says processing.

So you are logged in successfully?

Yes we removed the community avatar. It is now always just an icon logo.

It was causing too much traffic and cost too much load time of Wappler startup to fetch the live avatar each time, so we speed up things greatly by not using live avatars any more.

Ah so it is the browser tab that says processing … ok.

@patrick will check this.

Yes, it appears to be.

Yep

Wappler 5 is looking good. Love the little things even like the icons loading animation even. :beers:

And you can just close the browser tab after you are logged in and Wappler loads.

Yes, it appears to be working correctly. Once logged in I can open and close Wappler without issue. It was just confusing at first.

@patrick will see if we can improve the browser processing message, once Wappler was logged in successfully.
