4.0 Beta 3

Windows 10, Wappler 4.0 beta 3

Initial system check doesn’t detect docker installation.

When starting up the beta (version doesn’t matter, just tried again with beta 3) I loaded my docker project and it asks for the system check image

It then goes on to install the docker nightly

Which fails because it cancels automatically (anyway I don’t want the nightly, I already have the stable installed).

Well is your docker desktop installed and is the docker command available in your path?

Is this in the beta only? Have you checked with the Wappler 3 stable?

Fine in stable (using it right now to continue development)

Checking if it’s avail in the path is done like this, right? image

If yes: then yes it’s available.

Am I correct in guessing that it aborted due to the process not having Admin Level permissions in the path it was trying?

Seeing that you also are in the Windows 10 environment does this help with problem solving?

@NewMedia Not entirely sure, but I don’t think my issue is that docker is failing to install. I’d rather have Wappler detect my current working docker installation.

However I just tested it again (by quitting wappler 3, and then opening the beta. So docker was still running in the background). This time wappler 4 did detect docker and didn’t attempt to install it with scoop.

I also tested to shutdown both docker and wappler 4 to see if it’s persistent and it appears so.

Hopefully this keeps working after a reboot.

TL;DR: Fixed it by first launching docker, then wappler 4.
