3.9 to 4.0 project opens without formatting and 404 errors

Im sure this is more user error than bug - The main question to answer is will porting from 3.9.x to 4.0x going to need a lot of fixing or should the compatibility be straightforward? If so then i have run into an issue i need some assistance on please.

======== TEMPLATE BUG FORM ========

Wappler Version : 4.0 Beta 3
Operating System : WIN10
Server Model: NodeJS
Database Type:Mysql
Hosting Type:Local Docker

Expected behavior

What do you think should happen?

When loading my 3.9.7 Project into 4.0 beta 3 the display is CODE and no formatting - both opened the exact folder the original is saved and a backup.

Actual behavior

Page returns 22+ 404 errors ( Yes, missing files).
"Failed to load resource: Net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND – dmxAppConnect.js:1 "

+21 other “DMX”

(it will deply. The IDE is not formated

How to reproduce

I simply load an existing project from a 3.9.7 development into 4.0 beta 3

try the just released beta 4 - if problem still persists report back

Not that I have had the same problems, but I find that my beta version runs best when I have quit 3.9. In my view, having both installed is Ok, running bith at the sme time is asking for trouble.

Hi @George
Did the beta 4 update and the 404’s resolved but the layout is just inline code

@ben
Also, made sure 3.9 wappler was indeed closed (which wasn’t when it was trying the first time).

Now its closed and the image sorta shows what im seeing.

I appreciate the help! Thank y’all so much!
Jeff

Is this a content page or full page?

Do you see any errors in the status bar of design view? You can click on them.

Does it look ok in the browser?

Hi George,

yeah, It works fine in the browser.
This is a full page and no errors reported

I’ve toggled on/off the app connect mode and preview mode with the same results - Its like the app connect is off and all style is gone.

Results are the same even if its the same folder that 3.9 loads from…
(and only the beta copy is running)

Expected view: Wappler 3.9

Wappler 4.4 beta

Thanks!
Jeff

unfortunately 4 beta 5 still does the same thing. gonna simplify app.

Cheers
