IT consultant, java developer, Outsystems low code engineer. Working for an IT company. Hands on experience with 3 low code frameworks: Outsystems, Betty Blocks, Thinkwise. Thinkwise is the world champion productivity, at the cost of not having "pixel perfect styling".
I am generally weak in frontend, Angular, html, CSS and javascript. Good in backend/JAVA/SpringBoot.
Since I bought the license for myself I need a way to earn the fee back
Let's see how it goes.
One thing Outsystems is great at, is CRUD. Just define some tables and relations in the data section. Then drag a table onto a page, into a placeholder. Boom, listview generated. Drag it a second time to the same place, and update/view/delete views are generated, complete with buttons, and fully connected to the listview. So it takes two swipes to generate a full crud app from a table. Responsive, bootstrap4 great looking, modern, fresh colored. Of course let's not talk about costs and vendor lockin ![]()
