Just noticed a couple nits…
- Wappler restart from here doesn’t work on the first attempt, but does on the second
- After performing the inline update, the icon stays in a “loading” state until restart
By inline update do you mean a Wappler inline update or some extension inline update?
The Wappler update that came up here: Bootbox confirm - not working on Safari
I clicked on the update, and it performed fine, but I think it triggered that blue downloading/updating bar under the wappler icon
Ok, so an extension update.
I just did that update a couple of hours ago and this didn’t happen on my mac. Also i can’t recreate the restart issue here as well.
Maybe try reinstalling Wappler.

I noticed the same problem with the icon when inline updating the extension for Bootbox earlier too.

This our first inline extensions update and on the Mac indeed there is progress for the download in the icon.
Seems we have to reset it when done, so will smooth that out in the upcoming updates/betas

I just tried the extension update option, and I can see this icon/progress-bar issue in Windows 10 as well (4.9.1):
