w00t. Now that AC2 is finalized maybe this has a chance?
Maybe tomorrow is the day for a "tiny" surprise? ![]()
Back for another bump. We're almost a year out from George's comment that it would come after Wappler 6 release. ![]()
Bumping this one as well, could really do with this at the moment.
If TinyMCE is too much of a hassle to support, perhaps look into Trumbowyg - A lightweight WYSIWYG editor by Alex-D / Alexandre Demode as an alternative. It's under the MIT license, and I've been using it on my sites after migrating from TinyMCE (despite being the one to suggest TinyMCE).
Bump...
Bump...are we ever going to have a fully working/up-to-date text editor built in to Wappler?
This really does feel like the last remaining big ticket feature we are missing now…
It's Thursday morning - still not too late to add it to todays next beta release ![]()
Bump
I've been playing a lot with quill, full open source, implemented mentions and emojis..
Trying to create an App Connect extension but I'm failing on a few things..
I think it worths the shot...
Looks very interesting. I suspect the most complicated part of integrating it with Wappler is the image uploading. And all the various options in the ui, of course.
Are we talking TinyMCE or Quill?
TinyMCE image uploading can be implemented in a very easy way manually, so I suspect it wouldn’t be too hard to implement.
That said, I think this feature request is probably dead, as I think George said they were looking into Lexical instead as a text editor. Regardless of what editor of choice it is though, I just hope we get a new one soon, as Summernote has so many issues it’s partially unusable.
Quill has also good integration with images, including modules like resize/drag and drop/paste from clipboard ..
Not my intention to ruin this FR, just tell you guys if you want to try another one than summernote and TinyMCE is not on the plan for the team maybe Quill is not a bad idea..
Here some links if you want to try:

Can't complain, hope it helps
Bump.
Summernote is getting ridiculous. This should be an urgent issue.
