Second reason is Wappler does not allow a set value without a local scope name so you have to set both!

This is no longer the case as of v5.3.2.

Remove the requirement to the name of the Set Value action, so it can run with global name only

You’ve both explained it all very well. I will now get into the habit of suffixing my Global Name and only setting the Global Name when I actually need its value outside of the scope it’s set in.
