Nice job Teo!
Where is my 'any'
button?
Great job Teo!
Pretty good idea. I think it will be useful - particularly if it is linked to and from in regard to tutorials and stuff.
This is a great idea but it should also live in the docs section of the website. Some people would like to read this reference guide in one go instead of going through each element in the ui and clicking on the help/hint icon.
Hi Jon,
Yes it’s going to be in the docs as well
We are just collecting feedback and when finalized it will be moved to the docs.
This page is awesome and helps a lot.
I put this into a PDF file because I found it helpful to print out and quickly refer to it was easier to do. Had to zip it to upload it here.
Wappler2_4_4_Fundementals_overview.zip (1.1 MB)
Mike, this topic is just a preview for the users to see and comment.
It’s not even half finished yet, and when it’s done, everyone can just use the print to pdf options of their browsers
I know just thought others might find this easier to print and use now in a TOC format
It aready has a TOC on the Right side of the topic I believe it’s easier to use it than some printed papers.
Also on your screen you can CTRL+F to find the term you need.
I have been reading a lot of API documentation here lately. And I like the way their documentation format is set up. Maybe Have it similar to a format like these:
or
I"m sure there is an existing backend you could use to have the documentation like this.
It would be nice to have one centralized location for this kind of stuff.
Keep up the good work, I’m loving wappler!

Both based on gitbook
exactly! I figured as much
I did not post that to imply anything. I posted only because I found it helpful for me and thought other might find it useful too. Nothing else.
Hi Teodor,
I think this is a great start and is really appreciated.
I’d like to suggest two things:
-
Provide documentation for the myriad of widgets available when working on the client side. Many of us are not conversant with the many things that are required to be known when creating a web page and a quick blurb that shows the difference between each of the available widgets would be fantastic. I’m thinking of something that says “use this widget when you want to do blah”. This would be useful also when there are more than one instance of the same widget (e.g. paragraph, dynamic modal, et al, which I still have no clue if they represent different things or are just a remnant of past UIs that needs to be cleaned up).
-
This one is perhaps more of a feature request for the tool than for your doc and is based on seeing that some tools provide a pointer to documentation that you can click and that will take you to the descriptions like the ones you are creating. it would be great if Wappler could do that too.
Many thanks!!
Alex
This is supercool :]
Videos are great, but with Wapplers weekly release they are very soon out of date. Out of date videos are actually not that useful.
Love Wapplers weekly release, so maybe think of a different way to make it visual. Updated knowledge base is for features out of experimental should be essential. Some products use GIFs inside the knowledge base, which may be easier to upkeep in wapplers release cadence.
This is an excellent idea. I remember it taking quite a while to get my head around the ‘left’ and ‘right’ sides and how they work. This would make that process a whole lot quicker. And @Hyperbytes suggestion of linking to videos gets lots of votes from me.
Well done @Teodor.
