Next months Meetup - Suggested topic

Sorry for my lack of response, I was away on holiday so was mostly offline.

I am passionate about the meetups, they are a permanent entry in my calendar and I even move client work around to make sure I can be there so it's very rare for me to be absent.

Also, a lot of thought goes into coming up with ideas for these meetups. The primary focus is "what will people want and what will attract them to come". Everyone is invited to participate and Mark is always trying to get new faces to do demos or just discuss their work but it's really hard work. Last month we had just Mark, Ben, Brian and myself.

The whole point of these is to chat openly about Wappler, our experiences of it, tips and tricks, wishlists, etc. We want to empower everyone to really harness the power of it, not because anyone is an 'expert' but just because anyone can mention anything which might be a "wow, I hadn't thought of that" from anyone else.

So I encourage everyone to try and be at the next one. The topic for it was already discussed at the last meetup so I believe Brian will be going through his PayPal extension but there will always be time for general discussion.

We're all friends here. We all have the same goal. We all want to help each other. And I love being able to chat directly with the people behind the forum avatars

@Hyperbytes I think you should go ahead with what was planned. I should have asked first before making a suggestion Brian. I apologise. I'm happy to pick up with my suggestion the following month and maybe that will allow further time to organise it better, and structure the discussion, so all get their say etc.

Definitely go with your PayPal extension @Hyperbytes, I've been looking forward to that. If we have time to chat after then even better but you've got to do what you've been planning.

I can probably do it in 30 mins (dependent on questions) as its a demo, no live coding it shouldn't take that long.
That should allow 30 mins for discussion

Don't confine yourself to that, though.

I'm guilty of bad attendance here. I always try to catch up with watching the video on Sunday during some rare free time. I never miss one but would much prefer to be at the live event.

I'm trying my best to make some gaps on a Friday afternoon, I've increased my efforts on this and intend to be there on Friday 10th. I'd like to try and attend all of them going forward.

@Hyperbytes I think your PayPal efforts are definitely the way to go, most people creating the type of stuff we do will want to monetise it at some stage, I've wrestled with Stripe a lot, and while I think its a good set up, I'd be very keen to see the PP side of it - I've a feeling it'll be a bit more straightforward - Im not for a minute suggesting creating the extension for it will be a walk in the park but I'm sure its got to be easier than Stripe.

Thankfully we have 'The Terminator' (aka @Hyperbytes ) on the case, hopefully I can see it coming alive on Friday..

Still very much beta but coming together nicely.
Just 2 actions, send to paypal and capture webhook.
Everything else is automated including price checking and basket field name mapping..

Where can I get the link for the meet up? I believe it starts in just under an hour my time? It’s 8 am US central right now.

Here you go @TwitchBlade
