Using latest version, 3.7.2 on a Mac using Node server model.
I added a select dropdown and added a data source. When I choose my bindings for name and value, the list is empty. This appears to be a bug in 3.7.2 as I was able to do this earlier today in 3.7.1.
This is still not resolved for me in 4.04.

Select data for text field and Value field, no data bindings show up. Have to manually edit the code.
I think it’s a different issue here related to the data source expression, having an extra content. in the beginning. We are checking this.
