I noticed I had duplicate IDs, but no error was indicated. I added a third… still no error:
I’m pretty sure this would have been picked up in 1.7.1.
Well, we switched this error off on purpose. Because it isn’t critical and in some cases double id’s can exists.
Also having such errors stop synchronization between code and design view. So we decided to stick to really critical errors only

I thought it was quite useful. It saved a little time when assigning IDs and helped prevent errors.
Anyway, it’s useful to know the functionality has changed.
