In order to make a direct connection to the remote database with the Database Manager, do we use the same information as we used when setting up the initial Wappler connection?
Or is the remote connection for the Database Manager still on the worktable for a future release?
Direct connection is as the name implies - is a direct connection your database from within Wappler.
While the Database Connection in Server Connect is the one that will be used on your web server.
Btw the direct connection UI will be greatly improved in this week update with tons of security and connectivity options, so you might want to hold on a bit till the update.

And indeed if you are on local server with WAMP/MAMP or docker then the direct and SC database connection will be the same 
so no need to check the “direct connection” checkbox
I’m still having a difficult time with the connections. Obviously I am not doing something correctly.
