Yay great news for those of us using Anthropic Max plans (and other subscription tiers).
Hey @franse I commented on that a few days ago...
We cancelled our Copilot subscriptions in entirety. Much better off with a basic OpenAI or Anthropic subscription, or spend the equivalent amount on OpenRouter credits, or sign-up to Cursor. Copilot is a joke.
Yes sorry, missed that..
I don't have anything else than a ChatGPT 20dls subscription, made a test with a Wappler project and Codex (vs) and I must say I'm very surprised, it makes a server connect action, define routes in routes.json with params, and so, very amazing indeed..
@George any plan to integrate Codex or Claude Code in Wappler?
You can install and open their respective CLI in the Terminal @franse (below is OpenCode as an example), just type claude in the terminal to open Claude, opencode for OpenCode, and codex for Codex etc :
But what about the instructions of how Wappler works?
There are no instructions on the project folder where CLI operate..
On the other side, I think Wappler AI function shares all the info of how the framework works..
Then you would just use the Wappler A.I integration for the purpose. Otherwise you'll just be doing the same thing essentially as ChatGPT and Claude are already available with the context within Wappler? Not sure the team will provide the context file they use? Codex and Claude Code are CLI's. Unless, like normal, I'm getting it all wrong and not understanding your integration suggestion? Not unusual for me to get it wrong as you well know hahahaha...
I'd add that Claude, and I'd assume ChatGPT, have a very very good understanding of Wappler natively now. Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 need very little direction once they have a couple of Server Actions as examples, I'm not a ChatGPT user so am not entirely sure but would be shocked if it doesn't follow suit?, I can vouch for those though. Then direct them at the libs directory and they are off like a rocket!
Again, I can be wrong..
But I've been looking here for some info to reply about the codex topic posted a few dats ago..
For what I've read from the team, the Wappler AI system has instructions that are shared with the provider when someone does a prompt..
So when you use the internal Wappler AI chat, there are not just prompts, but prompts + instructions, that's why I asked the same integration
According to the TOS from Anthropic it is not allowed to use the subscription within other apps than their own, third-party apps are required to use the API endpoint with an API key that is usage based instead of the $200 subscription.
Thanks @patrick Codex is an option?
Can I open a feature request about that?
Codex could perhaps work, not exactly sure if it would be against their ToS but they seem to be more open. I found a discussion about it on the codex GitHub page, and it looks like it will be allowed.
I'm not very familiar with the openAI subscriptions, are there any limits on them?
Yes, it has a 5h and a week limit..
As alternative, there're instruction files that can we use directly on cli?
It works very good, but don't know what is the knowledge limit of this thing
Maybe we can build something?
